Fresh 48 New Born Sessions | Southeast Missouri

“A Fresh 48 session”: A photoshoot taking place in the first 48 hours of a baby’s life. Sometimes documenting the birth, the parents interacting with their new baby and a portrait session of baby or just simply a small portrait session of the baby in the hospital room.

I recently had the opportunity to take photos of two baby girls. My friend’s baby, RosaLynn and my own baby girl, Violet.

In the perfect scenario, the few days that you're in the hospital are very special moments in time. A time you feel safe, surrounded by plenty of help and advice. A time where you are falling in love with a tiny little human and getting to know each other.

Those moments deserve to be captured to remember forever.
